Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite with our home care patients in and around Smithtown, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, tailoring individualized rehabilitation programs that address their specific impairments and goals.
• Administer evidence-based treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities designed to enhance recovery.
• Participate in the clinical education of physical therapy interns and students, sharing your expertise while contributing to their professional development.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and outcomes, adhering to ethical and professional standards.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to promote comprehensive patient care.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical practices within the organization, potentially initiating clinical research in areas of expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role involves working with a diverse patient population, including post-surgical orthopedic patients, individuals with chronic pain, and those recovering from sports injuries. Each patient's unique condition requires a compassionate and customized approach to rehabilitation, emphasizing safety and effective recovery techniques that fit their lifestyle and specific needs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid New York State Physical Therapy license.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective patient interactions and collaboration with team members.
• Strong clinical assessment capabilities to ensure personalized and effective treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
