Our doors are always open.* There is no place like Lyle.**Commis Chef Essential Functions*** Prepare and execute menu items in a timely and consistent manner* Operate a designated station on the kitchen line, following recipes and plating standards* Recreate dishes designed by the Chef de Cuisine and culinary leadership* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the workstation at all times* Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures* Communicate effectively with teammates to ensure smooth service flow* Assist with prep work, restocking, and station setup and breakdown**This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:*** 1+ year of culinary or line cook experience preferred* Hotel experience is not required — a fun, welcoming personality is a must* Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills* Exceptional organizational and time-management skills* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays* Knowledge of high service standards; Forbes standards knowledge is a plus**Compensation:**$21.00 - $22.00 Per Hour**Benefits** At Lyle Washington DC we are committed to giving our employees the skills and support required to deliver extraordinary experiences, and most importantly, to grow in their careers.
