About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Los Alamos, New Mexico, 87544!
Job Title: PACU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Prior PACU experience Description: This is a rapid response need. Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days from offer acceptance. Orientation is weekly on Mondays. All travelers must have required certifications at submission, as certifications are not available on site. All clinical staff on assignment must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised. Required for all employees except physicians. Each agency needs to have an account for the background check process. A determination code will be generated upon background results so the clinician can move forward with the fingerprint process. The position requires shared responsibilities with Preop, but there is no expectation to float elsewhere. The patient population is primarily adults, with some pediatric cases on occasion. Common diagnoses treated include appendicitis and gallbladder issues. The expected patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. Dress code requires appropriate scrub attire, with no open-toed shoes or fake fingernails allowed. Please ensure to include a full submittal packet. This position is a contractor replacement.
