Organization Description:

Live Like Bella® Childhood Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization established in memory of Bella Rodriguez-Torres, who inspired millions during her six-year battle with cancer. Dedicated to supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer, Live Like Bella provides financial and emotional assistance and advocates for groundbreaking research aimed at making childhood cancer treatable and curable. Since its founding, the organization has advocated for over $40 million to fund 75 research studies at 11 institutions across Florida and provided over $10 million in financial assistance to families across the U.S. and 38 countries.

Role Description:

Live Like Bella is seeking a passionate and compassionate leader to join the fundraising and donor engagement team. The Director of Philanthropy & Engagement will be responsible for growing revenue, strengthening donor relationships, and expanding strategic partnerships to advance the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

· Fundraising & donor development

· Identify and cultivate new corporate, individual, and major gift donors

· Support development and execution of a monthly giving program

· Manage and grow the Endowment Fund

· Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of grant opportunities

· Assist with corporate partnerships and sponsorship development

· Engage policymakers and elected officials to support mission-related initiatives

· Donor engagement & stewardship

· Cultivate meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders

· Support and attend donor-focused events and engagement opportunities for prospective and existing supporters

· Develop creative donor engagement initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team to steward donors and communicate impact

· Work cross-functionally to align fundraising initiatives with organizational priorities

· Track and manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and deliverables

· Maintain strong internal communication across departments

· Support community awareness efforts tied to donor engagement strategies

Qualifications:

· Minimum 15+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, sales, or community engagement

· Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills

· Comfort cultivating donations and meeting directly with donors

· Proven ability to move initiatives from concept to completion

· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

· Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse stakeholders

· Proficiency in Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge) preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or related field preferred
