C. Harper Chevrolet / Cadillac is looking for a motivated, organized and customer-focused Automotive Service Assistant to join our Service Department in Belle Vernon.

This is much more than an administrative position.

It's an opportunity to learn how a professional dealership Service Department operates while working directly with Service Advisors, technicians, customers and management .

Most importantly, this position is designed to provide the experience and knowledge needed to potentially advance into an Automotive Service Advisor position.

You'll learn:

• How a dealership Service Department operates

• Customer write-up procedures

• Service appointment scheduling

• Repair-order processing

• Customer and vehicle documentation

• Service-drive operations

• Vehicle maintenance terminology

• Customer communication

• Service-department software and systems

• Loaner and rental administration

• Cashiering and payment processing

• Vehicle-flow management

• How Service Advisors coordinate customers and technicians

As your knowledge and abilities grow, you'll have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to pursue advancement into a Service Advisor position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Greet Service Department customers

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Schedule service appointments

• Confirm upcoming appointments

• Answer incoming Service Department phone calls

• Direct calls to the appropriate team member

• Verify customer information

• Verify vehicle information

• Prepare repair orders

• Assist with opening and closing repair orders

• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records

• File and scan service documents

• Organize repair-order paperwork

• Process maintenance records

• Assist with internal service documentation

• Coordinate vehicle movement within the dealership

• Assist with loaner and rental vehicle administration

• Assist with shuttle coordination when needed

• Help with cashiering and payment processing

• Maintain an organized service drive

• Help maintain the customer waiting area

• Support Service Advisors

• Support technicians and Service Management

• Assist with departmental projects

• Help keep the Service Department organized and running efficiently

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong customer-service skills

• Strong communication skills

• Good organizational abilities

• Basic computer proficiency

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities

• Professional attitude and appearance

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

NO DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE? THAT'S OKAY.

Previous automotive experience is helpful, but we're also interested in people coming from:
