Exciting Speech Therapy Position Available:
- Pay: $35.96–$50.08/hour
- Schedule: Full-Time, Days | Preferred 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rotating weekend coverage
- Location: Watkins Glen / Montour Falls, New York (Finger Lakes)

Overview of the position:
- A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider in the Watkins Glen / Montour Falls, NY area is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its care team. This role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered setting. Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Provide skilled therapy based on physician referrals and patient needs
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately and on time
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and safety strategies
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team members
- Supervise rehab aides in accordance with state guidelines
- Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education
- Support high-quality, person-centered care across the rehab program
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- New York State SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- CFs welcome - Could take an experienced CFY (position will also require lots of autonomy) – cover acute care / SNF / OP.
- CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates
- Skilled nursing, rehab, long-term care, or post-acute experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to assist with lifting and moving patients
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
