Maintenance & Reliability Manager
Location: Mount Pleasant, WI
Salary: $120,000-$150,000 plus bonus
Type: Permanent; full-time
Position Summary
A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead and transform maintenance operations within a high-volume, highly automated production environment. This role is responsible for building and sustaining a best-in-class maintenance and reliability program that supports safety, quality, and operational performance.
This is a highly visible leadership position requiring both strategic vision and hands-on technical capability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of transitioning organizations from reactive maintenance to a proactive, data-driven reliability model.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Reliability Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive maintenance and asset reliability strategy
- Drive transformation to preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices
- Establish a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement
Program Development & Execution
- Design and implement PM, PdM, and reliability-centered maintenance programs
- Develop maintenance standards, SOPs, and troubleshooting protocols
- Lead root cause failure analysis and corrective action initiatives
Technical Oversight
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across:
- CNC machining and multi-axis equipment
- PLC-controlled automation and robotics
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex equipment issues
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Optimize and manage CMMS systems, including workflows, asset tracking, and reporting
- Establish and monitor KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, uptime, planned vs. reactive work)
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance cost performance
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams across multiple shifts
- Build technical capability through training and workforce development
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety and execution
Capital Projects & Facilities
- Lead equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital projects
- Oversee contractors, vendors, and facility infrastructure
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Leadership\
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments
- 5–10+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams
- CNC machining and automated equipment
- PLC systems and industrial controls
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Reliability engineering and CMMS platforms
- Proven success implementing PM/PdM programs and improving equipment uptime
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Background in precision machining, heavy industrial, or highly automated manufacturing
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma
- Reliability certifications (e.g., CMRP)
