Position: Environmental Engineer II

Location: Radford, VA

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance activities within a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, permits, and requirements.
• Manage hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous waste compliance.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports, including TSCA, EPCRA, Tier II, TRI Form R, and hazardous waste reports.
• Support environmental permit applications, modifications, maintenance, and permit writing.
• Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring.
• Collect environmental samples and complete chain-of-custody documentation.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and internal operational teams.
• Provide environmental compliance training as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental reporting, permitting, compliance, and hazardous waste management.
• Experience with state environmental regulations and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of environmental compliance and waste management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental reporting software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VDEQ experience.
• Wastewater experience.
• Government or government compliance experience.
• Permit writing experience.
• CHMM certification.
• EIT/EI certification or PE licensure.
