Cultivation Technician I (7:00am-3:30pm)

Position Summary The Cultivation Technician I provides manual labor to support the operations within the Cultivation department, primarily supporting the flower department with day‑to‑day plant maintenance and sanitation. The role may also be flexed to support veg, MOM, and propagation as business needs require. This non‑exempt, hourly position reports to the Cultivation Site Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Perform physical, repetitive agricultural work and follow directions from supervisors. Climb ladders or work on elevated platforms repetitively. Net and trellis flower plants. Load plants and install emitters. Tuck and spread plants as directed. Prune and defoliate plants. Use PPE properly in accordance with company guidelines. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material, leaving the grow room clean after maintenance. Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment after use. Perform various manual cross‑department job duties as needed. Secondary but essential job functions. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. Team‑player with strong interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Punctuality. Preferred: Cultivation experience. Additional Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum age 21 (or 18 in CT, PA, or WV). Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening. Physical Requirements Handle organic material daily; wear appropriate PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection) in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions (≥95°F). Push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 50 lb to a height of 5 ft and a distance of 50 ft, with or without mechanical assistance. Work seated or standing at workstations for extended periods; maintain balance while climbing, stair‑climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or reaching; use hands/fingers for repetitive tasks. Shift may involve prolonged standing. Engage in repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movement. Possess adequate visual acuity (20/20 or better) for reading, computer use, and inspecting small details, day and night. Communicate verbally at conversational levels in moderate noise environments.
