What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic procedures, and formulating customized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses working collaboratively with physicians or autonomously (based on credentialing)
• Providing education for patients and families regarding disease prevention, wellness, and management strategies
• Prescribing therapeutic regimens and medications within the scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Collaborating closely within interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, comprehensive patient care
• Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
