About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Philanthropy to lead its efforts in raising philanthropic revenue and increasing visibility to support the organization's mission-driven initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team to devise and implement strategies for deepening and managing relationships with philanthropically motivated funders. This role involves overseeing a team of fundraising and development professionals, managing ongoing funder relationships, and leading the philanthropic strategy. The VP, Philanthropy will be responsible for meeting annual fundraising goals, ensuring a robust pipeline of prospects, and maintaining strategic fundraising alignment. A collaborative mindset is essential, as philanthropic resources are sometimes used in conjunction with social impact capital to leverage investment in the organization's social enterprises. Applicants for the VP, Philanthropy position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years' of prior fundraising and project management experience in a high-capacity, philanthropic organization. A proven track record of success in raising over $6M annually is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a fundraising function, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit. Management experience and a desire to lead a growing philanthropy team are also key qualifications. The role demands a candidate with exceptional organizational skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a clear commitment to the work and mission of the organization. Fluency in Office 365 is required, and experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.
