Registered Nurse - Medical-SurgicalSchedule: Nights; choose 36-hr or 48-hr scheduleAssignment Details: Patient ratio: 1:5Requirements:Minimum: 1 year RN experienceLicense: Valid RN license required at time of submissionRequired: BLS in hand at time of submissionCharting system: Epic (preferred)Key clinical skills:Med/Surg and post-op careTelemetry monitoringIV therapy (including central line management)Blood product administrationWound care and surgical drainsFeeding tube care, oxygen therapy, suctioningPCA management, insulin/heparin administrationRoles & Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care to the medical-surgical population.Monitor and assess patient health status and responses to treatments.Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance.Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.Compliance / Notes:Orientation: 20 hoursWeekend expectation: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holiday rotation per managerPre-approved time off: 1 (per contract)Floating: Required to like units within scope as neededModules: Completed onsite during orientation; RN modules average 4–6 hours (non-billable)Client Details: City Topeka State KSTLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and fully complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
