Director Adolescent Behavioral Health RN

Overview Director of Behavioral Health RN & Behavioral Health Specialists for the Adolescent Unit at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital (BBHH) in Scottsdale, AZ. Responsible for 24‑hour accountability, oversight of a 48‑bed adolescent unit, staff management of 70‑80 RNs/BHS, and operational, financial, and quality performance. Position Summary This role provides strategic leadership and administration in patient care, education, safety, and quality, aligning with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. Responsibilities Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical operations, clinician and patient/family education, customer service, patient safety, financial outcomes, and quality outcome management and regulatory compliance. Core Functions Provides leadership in development, implementation and evaluation of planning structures to optimize outcomes; recruits and retains talent; fosters team environment. Provides infrastructure and systems to empower staff; develops partnerships; oversees management of financial, human and material resources; maintains compliance. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of clinical operations; leads evidence‑based quality practice; collaborates with other providers and community. Leads integration of innovation and evidence‑based findings into practice; supports innovative solutions; manages quality across continuum. Produces results that meet or exceed strategic targets; directs clinical operations, quality and safety; manages human resources, staff turnover, retention, and satisfaction. Responsible for strategic development of clinical department(s); accountable for outcomes; coordinates services with leaders. Minimum Qualifications BSN or MSN required (post‑July1,2013) Current RN license in Arizona BSN/ MSN by July1,2015 if held before BLS certification 3‑5 years progressive care management experience Experience leading/managing strategic clinical operations Strong written & oral communication; decision‑making & critical thinking skills Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Criminal History Affidavit (children services) Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or experience EEO Statement EEO/Disabled/Veterans.
