Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Cardiac Stepdown Unit position in Illinois, requiring active IL and IA RN licenses and a minimum of 2 years of cardiac stepdown experience.

Details

• Progressive Care/Cardiac Stepdown Unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift patient ratio is 1:4-5; night shift patient ratio is 1:5-1:6
• Charge nurses consider each nurse's level of cardiac experience when making assignments
• Both day and night shifts are available
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; an active IA RN license is also required — if the IA license is not yet active, proof of application for an IA single-state or compact RN license must be provided during the compliance process
• Minimum 2 years of current Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required (pending certifications will not be accepted)
• Epic EMR experience required
• A supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers who were employed by the facility within the 12 months prior to the contract start date may not be eligible for this position
• Holiday coverage is required: travelers must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
• Time-off requests during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows are limited to 1 day per period, regardless of holidays worked
