Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 22-26 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours + 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks

Requirements:

NYS RN Licensure Required

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS

One (1) Year Experience in a Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse Required

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assess patient and family needs through active listening and direct observation.

Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on patient response or changes in condition.

Educate patients and families on self-care practices and health management post-discharge.

Promote a safe and healing environment while advocating for patient's rights and wellbeing.

Engage in self-evaluation to improve nursing practice and care delivery outcomes.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues.
