Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Supply Chain team in the role of Supply Chain Supervisor.We are seeking an accountable, organized, and people focused supply chain leader to supervise a high functioning team of 10 or more Logistics Specialists during first shift (6am – 2:30pm). The ideal candidate is comfortable holding people accountable, coaching team members through challenges, and maintaining operational standards in a fast paced distribution and logistics environment. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, but what matters most is a genuine readiness to lead.This role supervises supply chain operations at Methodist Hospital, including:Supervising 10 or more Logistics SpecialistsManaging timekeeping and scheduling in UKG and performing general clerical and administrative duties associated with the roleOverseeing inventory management and ordering in close collaboration with Logistics Specialist IIsEnsuring customer needs are met while maintaining operational efficiencies and orderly, organized work areasImplementing countermeasures when process breakdowns occur and tracking trends in service discrepanciesCoaching, mentoring, and cross training team members and providing input on performance evaluationsAdministering progressive discipline as needed and serving as a liaison between employees and managementMonitoring, correcting, and processing employee time and payrollAssisting in monitoring transportation and freight and providing input on department policy and procedure developmentMaintaining IU Health Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) security and conducting operations in a manner that promotes safetyEnsuring monthly reporting is provided in a timely and accurate mannerCandidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience; at least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.3 plus years warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.Valid Drivers License for the State of Indiana preferred.Requires proven experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Some assignments may be required to obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30 days of hire.Some assignments may require the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment.Requires long periods of standing and heavy pushing and pulling.Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist; lift up to 20 pounds from waist to over-the-head; carry up to 25 pounds.Indiana University Health is dedicated to a fair hiring process and is committed to equal opportunity and nondiscrimination for all individuals, regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, or veteran status.We are an equal opportunity employer.
