We are seeking a Transplant Hepatologist to join our team in Shreveport, Louisiana

The only transplant center in north Louisiana where more than 2,100 organ transplantations have been performed since the program’s inception . Perform Kidney, Kidney/Pancreas, Pancreas, liver and living kidney transplantation. Team consists of 4 surgeons with over 100 years of combined experience, one transplant nephrologist, and one transplant hepatologist.

 

Qualifications

Candidates for the position must be board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology and be eligible to practice in the state of Louisiana.

 

Responsibilities :

Inpatient and outpatient care at a high level of skill

Managing liver transplant recipients

Evaluating and managing referrals

Partnering with the Kidney transplant team for multi-visceral organ

 

Evaluate patients with a spectrum of liver disorders including the management of primary liver disease, primary liver cancer, end-stage liver disease and patients requiring liver transplantation.

Work in conjunction with transplant surgeons and other hepatologists to select and manage the patients before, during and after liver transplant.
