Forklift OperatorLocation: Oakland, CAPay Rate: $24.00/hourSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMAssignment Type: 3-Month ContractJob OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join a busy metal recycling facility in Oakland. This role will primarily involve operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and organize metal materials throughout the yard and warehouse areas. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an industrial environment and committed to maintaining safe and efficient operations.ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down forklift to transport metal materials throughout the facility.Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.Move, stack, and organize recyclable metal products in designated areas.Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as needed.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.QualificationsPrevious sit-down forklift experience required.Ability to work safely in an industrial or recycling environment.Experience loading and unloading materials preferred.Strong attention to safety and detail.Ability to lift, bend, and work outdoors as needed.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.What We OfferCompetitive pay at $24.00/hourConsistent daytime schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMOpportunity to gain experience with a leading metal recycling operationPotential for extension based on performance and business needsInterested candidates are encouraged to apply today!Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
