Details Work on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed medical-surgical and step-down level of care patients Care for short-stay patients (LOS under 24 hours) with quick patient turnover Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on level of care Telemetry equipment used with all monitored patients hardwired to bedside monitors Documentation completed in Cerner EMR Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM Every other weekend required with no on-call obligations Floating to other units required as needed Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Certification required for PCU placement Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Telemetry competency required for consideration Progressive care experience required, with recent progressive care experience preferred US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Positive, patient-experience focused attitude with strong teamwork skills preferred Dress code requires navy and/or white scrub tops with navy bottoms, or all-white attire Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted, no exceptions American Traveler Job ID P-744961.
