General Description
The incumbent provides skilled field administrative support and technically advanced services including developing internal regional databases, conducting data analysis, and doing technical research. Technical research involves compilation of regional data and conceptualization of the data distribution for development of specific regional reports. Incumbent is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of Falcon data (or subsequent program), procedures and policies, in execution of independent analysis. Identifies and incorporates disparate and unintegrated data into new and existing regional databases, in support of member recruitment and engagement. The incumbent works with minimal supervision in all job requirements, and must exercise a high level of independent judgement, initiative, and discretion in both the utilization and dissemination of sensitive information.

Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent may perform any combination of the tasks listed below:

• Compiles data from multiple sources and creates databases, spreadsheets, reports, and other data-management files of a highly sophisticated nature that tracks and measures current regional membership recruitment and retention data.
• Assists in the development of systems that enable real-time synthesis of member and non-member data and measures program results.
• Develops training materials and assists in the training of regional staff in fundamentals of data integration, and analysis, including providing knowledge based technical support to field staff users.
• Monitors regional Falcon data (or other appropriate databases) including maintaining data integrity by ensuring consistent data accuracy across all platforms.
• Prepares specially designed data analysis reports as requested by management.
• Composes and prepares correspondence for staff and leadership from drafts, notes, disk and/or network including editing reports to ensure correct English usage, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Responsible for on-site property maintenance functions, including maintenance of CTA property and equipment.
• Represents CTA in providing assistance to members and chapter leaders requesting Association services, benefits, and programs, including processing GLS requests.
• Arranges, prepares, and performs logistics for various meetings and workshops including Service Center Council, CTA and NEA elected leadership in the Association's governance operation and assists the Governance Department with State Council and NEA Representative Assembly.
• Assists the Governmental Relations Department in the coordination of the CTA Legislative Recommendation Program.
• Provides overall administrative support regarding regional programs, special projects, processing mail, including electronically transmitted materials, maintains files and records, schedules appointments, travel arrangements and maintains office calendars for assigned staff.
• Supports organizing campaigns, including, but not limited to, member engagement, community engagement, and political actions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Functions Unique to This Position

• Provides skilled assistance to the Region 4 offices, staff, and members as assigned.
• Creates and maintains regional databases, directory and reports as assigned.
• Supports the regional AB119 program and serves as support for staff. Through the AB119 program, the incumbent will work with the CTA Membership department to ensure Falcon data is accurate for future organizing campaigns.
• Provides logistical support to the R4 Leadership Conference.
• Provides skilled assistance to the Statewide Service Center Council.
• Assists with the R4 miscellaneous membership process. Responds to inquiries from R4 staff; works with CTA Legal and Membership departments to determine eligibility. Communicates findings with prospective miscellaneous members.

Qualifications - Minimum Required

• Bachelor's degree & 1 year relevant experience, or Associate degree & 3 years relevant experience or High School diploma/GED & 6 years relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases.
• Ability to follow through on work assignments with minimal supervision.
• Substantial knowledge of CTA, data analysis and Business Intelligence tools.
• Substantial knowledge of membership policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to operate generally used office equipment.
• Ability to analyze problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Aptitude for figures and details; ability to prepare and analyze reports.
• Must have ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in priorities.
• Must have ability to exercise initiative, tact and good judgment.
• Must have ability to organize and coordinate work plans involving associates.
• Proficiency in the use of computer technology and the ability to learn and use the Association's software programs.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

*This position is in a bargaining unit represented by CAS. Salaries are established by a collective bargaining agreement. Step placement is also determined by the CTA/CAS Agreement.
