Overview Join to apply for the Manager, Corporate Accounting role at BioSpace The Manager, Corporate Accounting is a critical role within the organization’s corporate accounting department, responsible for leading a team of accountants across multiple accounting areas, managing the month-end close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX, and driving process improvements. Accounting areas under the purview of the Manager, Corporate Accounting include cash and marketable securities, foreign exchange derivatives, leases, fixed assets, intangible assets and goodwill, debt, prepaids, accrued expenses, employee compensation and benefits, and other operating expenses. This is a highly visible and hands-on role that works directly with management in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Facilities, and other departments. Responsibilities Overseeing the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close Reviewing and preparing journal entries, supporting schedules, account analyses, reconciliations and variance explanations Conducting in-depth analysis of financial results, identifying trends and anomalies, and interpreting variances in the context of underlying business activities to provide insights Presenting monthly financial results to Senior Management including the Corporate Controller and the CFO Ensuring accuracy of 10Q/K financial statement notes related to areas of responsibility Ensuring that (i) effective internal controls are in place and are adhered to and (ii) associated internal control documentation is prepared and/or updated on a timely basis Reviewing and updating the Company accounting policies to reflect changes in the business or accounting guidance Collaborating with Financial Reporting and the business to ensure proper accounting for new business transactions Facilitating quarterly and annual requests from internal and external auditors Leading SOX walkthroughs with internal and external auditors Managing and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as necessary Providing leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork Mentoring and developing direct reports, setting challenging annual goals that align with the department’s objectives and their personal development plan, and providing timely feedback Qualifications Possess in-depth accounting knowledge gained through a mix of public accounting and hands-on corporate accounting experience Have experience leading, coaching and developing a team Can effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and build rapport with stakeholders Have a track record of process improvement to gain efficiencies CPA with 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a people management role Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Big 4 Accounting experience is preferred High proficiency with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel Experience with Oracle GL, Smartview, Oracle Fixed Asset Module, Reval, and/or Clearwater is a plus Salary and Availability Salary Range (annually): $113,100.00 - $184,700.00 Job Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries: Internet News Regeneron is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion or belief (or lack thereof), sex, nationality, national or ethnic origin, civil status, age, citizenship status, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
