Tax Manager – Income Tax

Overview

The Income Tax Manager leads all aspects of income tax accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax provisions and SEC-related tax reporting. This role partners with third-party tax preparers on federal, state, and local filings and supports income tax audits.

On-site position in Springfield, MO.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of tax professionals.
Prepare and review corporate income and franchise tax workpapers.
Coordinate with external tax preparers to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Support tax provisions, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures.
Monitor tax law changes, research technical issues, and recommend solutions.
Assist with audits and U.S. international tax compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
6+ years of corporate tax experience (public accounting or large corporate environment).
Experience with tax provision software (OneSource or similar).
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC tax regulations.
Proven leadership skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
