Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Location: SanMateo,CA Role Overview Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at Sony Interactive Entertainment will collaborate with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of software components and systems. Responsibilities Lead the Quality Engineering effort including automation, functional, regression, and web services/API testing. Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and WebDriverIO. Perform Rest API / Backend testing using Postman. Build automation frameworks and tools for web and native iOS applications. Conduct functional, integration, regression, accessibility, and API testing. Integrate testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, self‑hosted runners, and SauceLabs. Perform functional, regression, accessibility, load, and security testing with tools such as Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter, and AWS Inspector. Design test cases and test plans using TestRail and JIRA. Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of two (2) years leading quality engineering initiatives. Proven experience in test automation, functional, regression and API testing. Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript. Experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, and WebDriverIO. Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, and self‑hosted runners. Experience with load testing (Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter) and security testing (AWS Inspector). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Benefits Competitive base salary in the range of $223,714 to $274,600 per year.
