Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.**What You Will Be Doing:**Evaluate Personal Lines and Commercial Lines business for risk acceptability, classification, rating, coverage, and retention. Communicate decisions, support customers and business partners, conduct field visits, and mentor underwriters.**What We’re Looking For:*** Strong oral, written, and customer-centric communication skills for explaining underwriting decisions, Company policies, practices, and procedures while adhering to corporate privacy guidelines.* Ability to analyze risk, exercise judgment, make decisions, manage workload, meet deadlines, collaborate effectively, and maintain productive relationships.* Ability to operate computers, office equipment, internal systems, and external vendor websites and platforms.* College-level industry or Company coursework in general insurance, business, and communication is preferred.* Exposure to Personal and Commercial Lines insurance, underwriting rules and regulations, rating and rules manuals, federal and state laws, and Company policies and procedures is preferred.* Undergraduate college degree or equivalent related experience is preferred.* Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Shelter's uncompromising commitment to excellence doesn't stop with our customers.
