Base pay range $83,000.00/yr - $99,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus New Leaders develops transformational school leaders and advances policies and practices that ensure high academic achievement for all children—especially students from under-resourced communities. The Director, Strategy and Revenue Operations will be based out of a home office located anywhere within the contiguous United States (Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern time zones) or United States territories that fall within the Atlantic time zone. Position Overview The Director, Strategy and Revenue Operations ensures the External Relations team has the infrastructure, planning systems, and operational tools required to deliver on enrollment, partnership, and fundraising goals. This role serves as the central driver of operational clarity - turning cross-functional strategies into executable plans, performance insights, and scalable systems. This position leads quarterly planning and performance reviews, builds shared dashboards and campaign tracking tools, and ensures that systems infrastructure and documentation support team-wide alignment and continuity. The Director also oversees the team’s RFP, contract, and vendor management processes to ensure efficient and compliant execution across workstreams. This role reports to the Senior Executive Director, Strategy & Recruitment. Responsibilities Operationalize External Relations Strategy Translate cross-functional goals into actionable project plans, timelines, and implementation systems that support execution across Marketing, Partnerships, Recruitment, and Development Facilitate internal planning calendars, team meetings, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and promote continuous improvement Lead quarterly performance reviews and cross-functional check-ins to monitor progress, identify gaps, and recalibrate as needed Build and Maintain Performance Dashboards Design and manage real-time dashboards and reporting tools that track funnel performance, KPIs, and ROI across revenue-generating functions Partner with team leads to build shared scorecards and campaign dashboards that inform day-to-day decisions and long-term planning Ensure consistent use and accurate input across data platforms including Salesforce, HubSpot, and marketing automation tools Streamline Contract, RFP, and Vendor Operations Manage the full lifecycle of contract processing, from internal approvals through execution, in close partnership with Legal, Finance, and program teams Lead the RFP and RFQ submission process across the External Relations team, including cross-functional coordination, timeline management, and packaging Oversee vendor onboarding and management to ensure systems continuity, security, and performance expectations are met Improve Systems Infrastructure and Documentation Design and maintain centralized infrastructure for critical team systems, SOPs, workflows, and decision-making frameworks Ensure that internal documentation is accessible, up to date, and supports knowledge transfer and scale Coordinate platform improvements and manage key technology vendors in partnership with the Technology team Advance Cross-Functional Planning and Forecasting Drive scenario modeling, budget-informed planning, and forward-looking projections that guide campaign pacing, resource allocation, and team capacity planning Build infrastructure that enables visibility into enrollment, fundraising, and partner pipelines—surfacing insights that improve responsiveness and execution Support the CERO and other senior leaders in aligning operational levers to revenue goals Partner with the Chief External Relations Officer to design and maintain systems that enable shared performance accountability across all revenue channels Monitor and improve data hygiene, reporting accuracy, and performance pacing across philanthropic and earned revenue streams Lead special initiatives related to team structure, tool integration, and organizational readiness that support external revenue growth Meeting and Event Planning Coordinate the planning and logistics for team meetings, retreats, and strategic convenings to reinforce shared planning rhythms, strengthen collaboration, and support team alignment across functions Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Competencies: Advanced degree in strategy, public administration, or business a plus. Professional Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience required. 3-5 years' experience in strategy, operations, or business systems leadership required—preferably in a mission-driven, growth-focused organization. Team-Driven: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals across a variety of backgrounds and experiences; must be results-driven while maintaining a collaborative and inclusive leadership style. Communication and Data Analysis: Demonstrated ability to transform data into actionable insights through high-quality analysis, reporting, and visual storytelling tailored to diverse internal and external audiences. Clear, concise communicator who can manage across functions, levels, and timelines. Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday), and marketing automation/reporting platforms (e.g., HubSpot). Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, with a high functioning knowledge specifically in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strategic Thinking: Strategic, systems-oriented thinker with strong execution skills and high attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Project Management: Experience leading cross-functional planning, managing performance infrastructure, and coordinating complex operational workflows. Organizational Skills : Demonstrates superior organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with teams, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and maintain a positive, learning-oriented attitude. Travel Requirement: Ability to travel up to 10%, in alignment with New Leaders' travel policies. Physical Requirements The employee's routine activities involve sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands for tasks like typing, filing, and handling objects. Visual acuity is necessary for keyboard use, data analysis, transcribing, computer terminal viewing, and extensive reading. The role may involve ordinary ambulatory skills for visits to other locations or the ability to perform activities like standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and moving light-weight items. Proficiency in hand-eye coordination, along with dexterity in arms, hands, and fingers for tasks like grasping, operating standard office equipment, and learning technical information, is essential. What We Offer Salary Range: $83,000-$99,000 Note: Salaries vary based on geographical location. Employees may be eligible for merit awards and/or bonuses depending on their role, organizational guidelines, and individual performance.
