Certified Medical Assistant Full-time Regular, New Iberia, LA, US 7 days ago • Requisition ID: 1059 Principal Duties and Responsibilities Respond to supervisory staff regarding safe nursing care; perform venipunctures, urinalysis, CBGs; assist in the lab as needed, and carry out standard Medical Assistant duties. Take vital signs and administer oral, IM, SC medication per MD orders; support referral processes and call‑backs when appropriate. Provide timely and accurate assembly and analysis of medical records; respond to requests from attorneys, physicians, insurance companies for copies of the medical record. Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, patient messages, prescription refills, and other critical administrative tasks. Qualifications High School Graduate; graduate of a state‑approved Medical Assistant school; current license as a Medical Assistant in the State of Louisiana. At least six months previous medical office experience required. Basic knowledge of nursing processes and principles, biology and chemistry, anatomy and physiology, medical procedures, pharmacology drugs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
