Corporate M&A Associate AttorneyAligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Corporate M&A Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 100 firm in Chicago.This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate attorney interested in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, strategic investments, and general corporate matters for companies, investors, and business owners across a diverse range of industries.Ideal Background• 2–6 years of corporate transactional experience• Significant experience with mergers and acquisitions• Experience representing strategic buyers and sellers, private companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and other corporate clients• Experience with stock and asset acquisitions, dispositions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and ancillary transaction documents• Experience conducting and managing legal due diligence• Ability to coordinate sophisticated transactions from initial diligence through closing• Experience advising clients on general corporate and governance matters is a plus• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Excellent client service and communication skills• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admittedWhy This OpportunitySophisticated M&A and corporate transactional workExposure to private equity and strategic transactionsOpportunity to represent companies, investors, sponsors, and business owners across diverse industriesSignificant deal responsibility and direct client interactionCollaborative platform with complementary corporate, finance, tax, and regulatory practicesExcellent long-term career development and advancement opportunities
