Director Of Sales and Marketing

the client is seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the commercial strategy for a premier destination resort on Captiva Island. This executive leadership role will oversee sales, catering, marketing, and business development initiatives, partnering with resort operations and executive leadership to maximize revenue, strengthen market share, and elevate the guest experience. Key responsibilities include leading group, leisure, catering, and transient sales strategies; developing annual sales and marketing plans; and driving occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total resort revenue. The role will also oversee digital marketing, public relations, and brand positioning, coach and develop a high-performing commercial team, and collaborate with Revenue Management and Operations. In addition, the director will build relationships with meeting planners, travel advisors, and key accounts, and analyze market trends to identify new revenue opportunities. Candidates are expected to bring 7–10+ years of progressive hospitality sales leadership, including 3–5+ years in a Director of Sales and Marketing role, with luxury or destination resort experience. A strong background in group and leisure sales and experience leading sales and marketing teams are required, along with knowledge of revenue management. The position also calls for excellent leadership and presentation skills.
