This role supports electronic manufacturing operations on A shift by performing testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging to help meet customer deadlines. You will work in a light industrial, general assembly environment, acquiring job skills and learning company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks under close supervision. The position focuses on consistent throughput, adherence to quality standards, and flexibility to assist in different departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support production manufacturing activities to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Perform routine testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging tasks in an electronic assembly environment.
• Follow detailed instructions for all work assignments and operate within established policies and procedures.
• Use basic computer programs, including internal production software, Excel for documentation, and Outlook for communication.
• Work with hand tools to complete electronic assembly and general production tasks.
• Read and follow blueprints and work instructions where applicable.
• Meet individual throughput and production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor your own work to ensure quality requirements, customer specifications, and regulatory guidelines are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce waste, and eliminate scrap or rework.
• Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and leadership direction in a fast-paced production environment.
• Participate in improvement initiatives, including workplace organization efforts such as 5S.
• Collaborate and work cooperatively within a team and cross-functional teams as needed.
• Openly and proactively share information, knowledge, and experience with co-workers.
• Take on additional assignments and tasks as required to support production needs.
• Use time effectively to manage workload and ensure assignments are completed on time without compromising quality.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and training requirements for the role.
• Escalate issues and keep supervisors informed when problems arise or when assistance is needed.
• Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks frequently.
• Lift components up to approximately 10–15 pounds and assemble parts, such as connecting hose-like components by hand.
• Work primarily in routine assignments that require limited independent judgment, seeking approval for deviations from standard procedures.

• Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate internal programs, use Excel for documentation, and work with Outlook.
• Ability to perform electronic assembly tasks, including through-hole or surface mount soldering (strongly preferred).
• Comfort using hand tools in a production or assembly environment.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on production work.
• Great attitude, reliability, and willingness to be flexible and help in other departments.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team and cross-functional teams.
• Capability to adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and decisions.

• High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
• One or more years of related experience in manufacturing, electronic assembly, retail, food service, or other fast-paced environments is preferred.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing, particularly through-hole or surface mount soldering, is a strong plus.
• Experience in general manufacturing or light industrial work is beneficial.
• Comfort working with metrics, throughput goals, and documented processes.
• Interest in progressing and building a long-term career in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S.
• Ability to consistently complete assignments on time without compromising quality.
• Openness to taking on additional assignments and responsibilities as needed.
• Warehouse experience may be considered, though other backgrounds have historically been more successful.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level. You will work on A shift, scheduled every other Wednesday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in 10–12 hour shifts. The work is light industrial and general assembly, with lifting typically limited to about 10–15 pounds and tasks comparable to connecting hose-like components by hand. You will have the option to sit or stand during the shift, although standing is regularly required and the role is not sedentary. The environment emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity, with established production standards, metrics, and goals. Standard manufacturing attire is expected, appropriate for working around machinery, hand tools, and electronic assembly equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
