A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper/accountant to join their growing team. This position is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of 3 days in office and 2 days out. This is a key role responsible for managing the firm's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a professional, fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in delivering top-tier work. Job responsibilities are as follows:
- Manage daily bookkeeping functions, including AP/AR.
- Handle bank recs, credit card recs, and G/L maintenance.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Maintain and reconcile attorney trusts accounts IOLA/Escrow accounts) in compliance with legal regulations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and audits
- Monitor firm expenses and ensure proper cost allocation
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
