We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced in-house bookkeeper to join our team and help manage our financial records with precision and integrity.**Key Responsibilities:*** Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.* Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.* Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.* Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.* Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.* Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.* Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.**Benefits:*** Competitive salary and benefits package.* Opportunity for professional growth and development.* Friendly and supportive work environment.#### Requirements**Qualifications:**Core qualifications:* 2–5 years of bookkeeping experience.* Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop, as applicable).* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.* Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and journal entries.* Ability to maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close.* Comfortable working with small business owners and handling multiple priorities.* Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.* High level of integrity and confidentiality.* Candidate should be located in NJ.Preferred:* Bookkeeping or accounting certification (a plus, not required)**How the hiring process works**We aim to move as quickly as possible throughout the hiring process.
