Infrastructure Operations Manager

SAIC has an exciting opportunity for a strong and dynamic Infrastructure leader capable of managing multiple high-priority efforts within a challenging client environment. This role is not currently open and is being maintained as a contingency.

We are looking for someone with the ability to manage a team of over 140 people and a passion for solving problems and growth. The successful candidate will work at all levels of a large Federal Department and lead the management of their IT Infrastructure, their modernization strategy, plans, and implementation efforts.

Job Duties

Provides day-to-day management and supervision of overall Enterprise Infrastructure personnel, involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations. Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and execution of Infrastructure-related service delivery and business growth activities. Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Effective at resolving conflicts between functional teams in a manner that drives productivity minimizes attrition. Well-versed in an array of Infrastructure tools and services with a comprehensive understanding of strategy, engineering, and sustainment. Analyzes the service delivery metrics, technical configurations and leads the team to provide recommendations on the best alternatives. Provides managerial guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Familiar with software and hardware tools and leads the identification and diagnoses of complex problems and factors affecting network, systems, and application performance. Ensures the team is highly capable of troubleshooting data center systems and applications. Provides empirical data and recommendations to improve performance.

Job Requirements

This leader requires an operational mindset with a passion for problem solving in a complex environment. The successful candidate will work at all Infrastructure operational levels of a large Federal Department Agency.

This role requires the ability to work with a variety of customer stakeholders to manage priorities and projects as well as hold the program teams accountable to those priorities.

Must be familiar with managing contractual deliverables, as well as ticket queues and ticket quality. Familiarity with ServiceNow is required.

Experience with major incident and critical situation problem resolutions is a must have.

Ensure internal customer satisfaction with IT services by understanding their strategic and tactical needs, making sure actions are taken to close any gaps; influence stakeholders' perceptions of the relevant Infrastructure services.

1. Must possess experience as a leader and mentor in an infrastructure operations environment.

Responsible for the technical landscape cutover and production operational support spanning the entire lifecycle of the strategic platform or portfolio of IT solutions and applications.

Ensure internal customer satisfaction with IT services by understanding their strategic and tactical needs, making sure actions are taken to close any gaps; influence stakeholders' perceptions of the relevant services

Serve as a leader and mentor; demonstrate ability to coach and hold teams accountable.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• ? Bachelor's and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.

• At least 8 years of management experience with an emphasis on Infrastructure programs and/or projects, including mission critical programs, IT systems implementation and solution development.

• At least 3 years of experience interfacing and presenting to executives.

• At least 4 years of proven experience managing a program with at least 100 personnel delivering Infrastructure Operations Support Services.

Additional Skills

• Effective team leadership skills strongly preferred, including risk management, skill development, task prioritization, performance management, and mentoring/coaching of cross-functional team members.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple demands on time, in cross-functional hybrid environment.

• Strong collaboration skills using a solutions and customer-service-oriented approach.

Additional Notes

U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. Ability to attain a Public Trust clearance.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
