Quality Assurance Team MemberPrimary responsibility is the daily execution of all Quality Assurance processes. This includes all product testing, field testing, and data tracking. This team member must have a drive for continuous improvement in all processes, critical thinking skills, and the desire to lead by example.Responsibilities:Perform daily laboratory analyses capturing data points necessary to track the health of fermentation. Daily analyses include, but not limited to:Daily Brix, pH, Titratable Acidity, temperature, Free Sulfur Analysis, and Dissolved Oxygen ContentAssist/lead with data collection, data entry, and reporting of compiled dataPerform laboratory analyses to effectively monitor fermentation healthBe responsible for the cleaning and calibration of all laboratory equipment/machinesEnsure that all team members uphold Blake's Quality StandardsPerform routine checks on packaging line throughout the day to ensure equipment and product is being held up to industry standardsPerform Incoming ingredient and material inspections for compliance with food safety programsWilling to assist in any other tasks or duties as requested by the managerEducation, Skills & Knowledge:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredPreference of 1-2 years of experience working in a labWell-developed tasting skillsUnderstanding of Food and Beverage IndustryComputer proficient in Excel and WordGood organizational, planning, and presentation skillsClear commitment to high quality and attention to detailsAble to work independently with minimum supervision.Must have the ability to be on your feet for an entire shift.Strong attention to detailKnowledge of GFCO and GMPs preferredOn-site training available and Course training available periodicallyWorking Conditions:The work for this position will be in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with some periods being loud.Work will be performed as per the schedule you create for the team. Some weekend work required as needed.Must be able to work safely in both hot and cold environments
