The position offers the opportunity to work closely with ownership and leadership while contributing across accounting, administration, HR, and operational support functions.Position OverviewThe Controller / Accounting Manager will lead the company’s accounting function while supervising a team of two employees. This is a very hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the details of the business and wearing multiple hats within a smaller company environment.The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting expertise, cost accounting exposure, and a willingness to support cross-functional business needs when necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all day-to-day accounting operationsManage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportingLead general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closeOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activitiesSupport cost accounting functions including inventory, product costing, and margin analysisAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisCoordinate with external CPA firm and auditorsMaintain internal controls and support process improvementsSupervise and mentor two accounting/administrative employeesSupport HR-related functions including benefits administration and employee onboarding supportAssist with various administrative and operational responsibilities as neededEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policiesAdditional InformationPrivately held manufacturing company with approximately $10M in annual revenueLong-term stability and collaborative cultureESOP retirement benefit offering employee ownership opportunityFully on-site positionRequirementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required7+ years accounting experienceManufacturing industry experience is requiredExposure to cost accountingStrong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reportingExperience working in smaller company environments preferredComfortable operating in a hands-on, detail-oriented roleStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple responsibilities across accounting and administrative functionsJob typePerm
