Job Title:         Instrument Assembler 2

Location:         155 N. McCarthy BLVD, Milpitas California 95035

Shift:                M – F 6AM – 2:30PM

Job Description:

Performs electro-mechanical assembly of flow cytometers, sub-assemblies, and medical device products. Follows work orders, assembly instructions, and standard procedures to assemble optical, mechanical, fluidic, and electronic components.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components according to procedures and work orders.
• Perform in-process inspections and maintain quality standards.
• Complete required production and Device History Record (DHR) documentation.
• Read and follow Bills of Materials, SOPs, and assembly instructions.
• Use hand tools and demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
• Collect and record production data and measurements.
• Work closely with engineering, QA, technicians, and production teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support process improvements and new product introductions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in high-tech or manufacturing assembly preferred.
• Experience with hand tools and electro-mechanical assembly.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read technical instructions and complete documentation accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
• Medical device manufacturing, ISO 9000, or cGMP experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
