This on-site role in Sparks, Nevada focuses on installing and configuring integrated security systems at customer location. The position involves working with digital and analog camera systems, access control, alarm systems, and IP-addressable security devices, ensuring all installations meet national electrical code standards as well as company and customer guidelines. You will use electronic test equipment, interpret technical documentation, and apply advanced networking and computer skills to deliver reliable, high-quality security solutions for clients in the greater Reno area.
Candidates with a Solar Installation background can also be a fit.
Responsibilities
- Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures at customer site in accordance with the national electric code, company standards, and customer guidelines.
- Perform installation, wiring, equipment setup, and programming for integrated security systems, including access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems.
- Use electronic test equipment to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues that arise during installation and commissioning of security systems.
- Configure and support digital and analog camera systems, ensuring proper integration with recording and access control platforms.
- Utilize computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and media storage applications, to document work, manage configurations, and support system operations.
- Troubleshoot alarms, cabling, low-voltage circuits, fire alarm connections, and related security system components to identify and correct issues.
- Work independently without direct supervision to complete installation jobs, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability for quality and timeliness.
