Forklift Operator – Plymouth, IN

Location: Plymouth, IN
Pay: Starting at $19.00–$20.00 per hour
Additional Pay: Receive a $1.00/hour raise after successfully completing the company forklift certification program.

Compensation

• 1st Shift: $19.00/hour
• 2nd Shift: $20.00/hour
• 3rd Shift: $20.00/hour
• Earn an additional $1.00/hour after successfully completing the company's forklift certification program.
• Overtime opportunities available.

Schedule

• Full-time (40+ hours per week)
• Overtime available during peak seasons
• Up to 6 days per week as needed
• Must be flexible to work different shifts during training

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Split shifts may be scheduled during peak production:
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Move materials throughout the warehouse using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist with inventory counts, sampling, warehouse organization, and general housekeeping.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
• Support seasonal shipping and receiving operations while meeting quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience preferred
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
• Previous forklift certification is a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to accurately count inventory and read measuring scales
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills in English

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Lift up to 60 pounds
• Perform repetitive lifting and material handling
• Work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
• Safely operate forklifts in tight warehouse spaces
