Job Category: Program & Project Management Job Details: The Experience Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a meaningful role at Salesforce in leading large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives within our Technology & Products organizations. TPMs are responsible for programs from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company. Responsibilities Lead programs by aligning across program scope and release planning, aligning teams on vision and business goals, crafting program structure, and securing cross‑functional alignment. Drive teams through the software development lifecycle using agile methodologies, analytical skills, and technical expertise. Build strong partnerships with key functional team members and serve as a trusted partner for executive leadership to ensure program success. Partner with cross‑functional teammates—including Product Owners, Scrum Leads, UX, and CX—to drive workgroup alignment meetings that address release issues, dependencies, team status, metrics reviews, and achievements. Anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency that could slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on goals. Qualifications 3+ years of enterprise software or technical program management experience at an enterprise technology company. 3+ years leading Platform as a Service (PaaS) development programs, with a solid understanding of the PaaS business model and product development lifecycle. Deep experience with the software development lifecycle and ability to apply that knowledge in dynamic environments using agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of hands‑on, detail‑oriented execution. Outstanding executive presence and communication skills; ability to build relationships that make complex things happen across large organizations. Even Better If Ability to establish credibility and rapport quickly with senior executives and cross‑functional team members. Experience operating in a matrix management environment and driving consensus across organizational boundaries. Capacity to master technical subjects and new technologies relevant to the programs you lead. Experience providing formal program reviews, including risk tracking and escalation of critical issues. Salary range: $123,100–$186,300 annually (base salary only, not including bonuses, incentives, equity, or benefits).
