Senior HRIS Specialist

Position Overview: The Sr. HRIS Specialist is responsible for the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the organization's HRIS platform. This role partners closely with cross-functional partners across HR to optimize the system functionality, develop workflows and enhance self-service capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a consultative approach and enjoys translating business needs into scalable HR technology solutions. Worksite Location: Hybrid opportunity in the Twin Cities Northwest metro. Base Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 (dependent on experience). Roles & Responsibilities Serve as the primary HRIS administrator, ensuring accurate system configuration and functionality across all HR modules. Maintain data integrity, system security, organizational structures, user permissions, and compliance requirements. Monitor system updates and releases, evaluate impacts, and implement enhancements as needed. Partner with Talent Management to configure and maintain performance management, goal planning, and succession planning tools. Build, test, and administer performance review cycles, goal-tracking workflows, and succession planning frameworks. Design, develop, and enhance Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) functionality. Train end users and support adoption of HR technology tools and self-service capabilities. Consult with HR functional leaders to recommend system configurations, workflow improvements, and automation opportunities. Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, workflow diagrams, and system configurations. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of HRIS administration experience. Experience supporting and configuring multiple modules including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, LMS, performance management, and self-service tools. Strong understanding of HR processes and their translation into system workflows. Experience administering Paycom or a comparable HRIS platform. Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to advise stakeholders and recommend system solutions that support business objectives. Strong documentation, workflow design, and process improvement skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience supporting succession planning and performance management system builds. Experience administering survey and employee engagement tools. Experience leading HR technology implementations, upgrades, or system enhancements. Project management experience related to HR systems and process improvements. Experience supporting growing or evolving HR organizations. Strong employee experience and continuous improvement mindset.
