Travel Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Cambridge, Massachusetts

Schedule/Hours:

• Nights
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• 36 hours/week
• No rotation required for night positions

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a med/surgical unit and surgical stepdown environment
• Independently interpret telemetry strips; monitor and respond to cardiac rhythm changes
• Manage chest tubes, nasogastric tubes (NGT), epidurals, and capnography
• Float between units as needed
• Document care using EPIC electronic health record system
• Care for diverse post-surgical patient populations including general, GYN, vascular, thoracic, urology, oral, plastics, and trauma cases

Qualifications:

• Massachusetts RN license and AHA BLS certification (current)
• Minimum of 2 years' recent med/surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency in telemetry (reading tele strips required)
• Experience with chest tubes, NGT, epidurals, and capnography
• Preferred: Arterial line management, neo-synephrine administration
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills
