Make a meaningful impact working as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity focuses on providing direct, 1:1 interpreting services for a third-grade student, ensuring they have equal access to the educational experience. Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency with a minimum 4.0 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score
• Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, ideally with elementary school students
• Current and valid licensure for Sign Language Interpreting (please submit proof of licensure)
• Ability to commit to an on-site position Monday through Friday, within standard school hours
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Professional demeanor when collaborating with educators, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate, clear American Sign Language interpretation for a third-grade student in both classroom and school settings
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, classmates, and school staff
• Adapt interpreting methods to meet the unique needs of the student and instructional context
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Collaborate with the educational team to support student goals and IEP objectives
• Maintain appropriate documentation as required by school and district policy
