Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably as a one-on-one interpreter
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families
• Current licensure required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, on-site sign language interpreting services to a third-grade student throughout the school day
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom experience by accurately interpreting classroom lessons, peer interactions, and activities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to address student needs
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
• Adapt communication methods as needed to promote the student’s full engagement in both academic and social settings

Role Details:

• Contract runs from August 24, 2026, to June 3, 2027
• Consistent schedule: 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch)
• On-site only, serving one dedicated student
