Job Title: Free Standing ER RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in general emergency care License: South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact State RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: General emergency experience in adult and pediatric care Description: Position involves working in a free-standing emergency room. The shift is 7 PM to 7 AM for three consecutive days. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5 to 1:7. The schedule includes every other weekend. Floating to other facilities may occur as needed. New graduates are welcome to apply. Certifications in NRP and TNCC are preferred. The role requires familiarity with emergency care equipment and procedures. The patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient census averages around 50 visits. The unit consists of general emergency department services. Staffing ratios for nights may reach up to 7 patients per nurse. General emergency skills are essential for the position. Expect to manage a variety of emergency cases and conditions. Maintaining current certifications and completing necessary training is required. Adaptability and teamwork are vital aspects of this role.
