Registered Nurse - PICU

$2448.00/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), ensuring their safety, well-being, and recovery through clinical expertise and compassionate support. The RN will work across different shifts and units, including CICU, based on patient needs and census fluctuations.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill children in the PICU and CICU.
  
  
• 
  Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and operate advanced medical equipment specific to pediatric critical care.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in Epic and other electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all protocols and regulations, including vaccination and safety policies.
  
  
• 
  Float between units as needed, providing flexible support during high census periods and staffing shortages.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid Ohio or multi-state nursing license, with two years of recent experience in pediatric critical care.
  
  
• 
  Requirements include BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate competency in pediatric and CICU patient care, including exposure to high-acuity environments.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work rotating day/night shifts.
  
  
• 
  Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with proof provided at submission.
