You'll work directly with C-Suite leaders to build people strategies that drive effectiveness, grow talent, and sustain a high-performance culture as we scale. This isn't a consulting role. You'll be embedded in the business, bringing strategic vision and operational follow-through in equal measure. We want a builder: someone who's guided teams through real inflection points, balances analytical rigor with genuine human-centeredness, and never loses sight of the individual in the system. You speak truth to power, advocate for employees, help leaders make hard calls and you don't wait to be asked.What You’ll Do: Strategic PartnershipServe as the primary HR advisor to senior leaders across Finance, Legal, People, and Security & IT functionsTranslate business objectives into actionable people strategies, including organizational design, workforce planning, and talent developmentAdvise on org structure, team effectiveness, and leadership development to support G&A scalingPartner with executives on headcount planning and HC allocation to align talent resources with business prioritiesTalent & PerformanceDrive talent review and talent development processes across supported organizationsCoach and develop leaders at all levels, from IC ‘s to managers to VPs, on people management, feedback, and performanceLead and support performance management cycles, including calibration facilitation and compensation reviewPartner with Talent Acquisition to build thoughtful hiring strategies and ensure strong candidate experiencesCulture & Employee ExperienceChampion Vercel's culture and values, ensuring they're embedded in the day-to-day experience across G&AIdentify and act on signals from engagement surveys, stay interviews, and team health check-insDesign and facilitate team offsites, workshops, and other programming that foster connection and alignmentEmployee Relations & ComplianceNavigate complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, empathy, and confidentialityEnsure consistent and equitable application of HR policies, providing guidance to managers and employees alikePartner with Legal on compliance, employment law guidance, and risk mitigation across global jurisdictionsOperational ExcellenceAnalyze and interpret people data and trends to inform recommendations and drive continuous improvementContribute to and improve core People programs, onboarding, L&D, DEI, total rewards communication, within your client groupsCollaborate across the broader People team on cross-functional initiatives and process improvementsAbout You: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR generalist role supporting corporate / G&A functionsExperience operating in a fast-scaling, global tech company; startup or high-growth background strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to build trust with senior executives and operate as a genuine business partner, not just an HR service providerDeep expertise in organizational design, performance management, talent planning, and employee relationsStrong analytical skills; you use data to tell stories, identify trends, and inform decisionsOutstanding communication, facilitation, and executive presence; equally comfortable in a 1:1 coaching session and presenting to a leadership teamComfortable with ambiguity; you create structure where none exists and thrive in a fast-moving environmentExperience with tools such as Workday, Greenhouse, and Notion highly preferred.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive compensation package, including equity.Inclusive Healthcare Package.Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.Flexible Time Off.We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
