TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Nursery RN in Brooklyn, Maryland, 21225!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum experience required License: Must have a valid license in hand or apply for licensure Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Charge experience and preceptor experience required Description: The role involves working in a special care nursery. Candidates must have experience in a delivery room. You will float to postpartum for baby care assignments. Every other weekend coverage is required. Scrubs will be provided. Candidates will assist with circumcision and assess the site post-op. You will provide car seat education and cord care. Discharge teaching to parents is also part of the responsibilities. Infant identification and isolation precautions must be followed. You will administer IV antibiotics and care for large for gestational age and low birth weight infants. Perform metabolic screens and manage newborn abstinence syndrome. Newborn assessments and hypoglycemia management are included. Phototherapy will be part of the job duties. You will be responsible for starting and maintaining IVs. Thermoregulation and vaccine administration will be key tasks. Experience as a charge nurse is essential. Preceptor experience is also required.
