Job Description

The Inventory Clerk works in a warehouse environment to support inventory control and inventory management activities. This role focuses on maintaining accurate stock levels, performing regular counts, and ensuring efficient material movement while collaborating closely with warehouse and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Work in the warehouse to support inventory control and inventory management activities.

• Maintain stock accuracy by performing regular cycle counts and full inventory counts as needed.

• Monitor, record, and reconcile inventory levels to ensure materials are correctly received, stored, and issued.

• Track material movement within the warehouse and update records to reflect transfers, usage, and adjustments.

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and move materials.

• Use Microsoft Word and Excel to document inventory transactions, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records.

• Identify inventory discrepancies and use math and analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues.

• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate tasks and provide inventory status updates.

• Proactively request next tasks and maintain steady workflow without constant supervision.

• Support production demands by working overtime when required to meet staffing and operational needs.

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment.

Essential Skills

• Inventory control experience with 2+ years managing stock accuracy, counts, and material movement.

• At least 1 year of forklift operation experience, including safe loading, unloading, and use of warehouse equipment.

• Demonstrated self-starter mindset with the ability to request next tasks and maintain workflow without supervision.

• Strong math and analytical skills applied to inventory counts, measurements, and problem-solving.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members and providing task updates.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, for documentation and reporting.

• Willingness and availability to work overtime to support production demands and staffing needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.

• Comfort using computers and digital systems for inventory tracking and data entry.

• Ability to follow established processes while contributing to continuous improvement in inventory practices.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse setting focused on inventory control and material handling. You will work 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. midnight), depending on operational needs. The position involves regular use of forklifts and other warehouse equipment for loading, unloading, and moving materials. You will use Microsoft Word and Excel to document inventory activities and prepare reports. The work environment emphasizes safety, accuracy, and consistent workflow to support production demands, with overtime required at times to meet staffing and operational needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $37440.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
