Job Description
Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant
Profession: Surgical Services

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour
Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 19:00
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic experience.
License: GA or Compact license required at time of submission.
Certifications: BLS, CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA.
Must-Have: Experience in the specified surgical specialties.


Description:
Position requires privileging process prior to start, which may take approximately 120 days from the time of signature.
Candidate must complete the privileging process prior to starting.
Schedule is days with weekends only required during call.
Call is required 1 day a week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs.
Candidate will float within facility/scope of practice as needed.
Candidate will undergo clinical screening to determine clinical fit.
If clinical pass meets guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.
Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed.
No holiday time off is accepted.
Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a delay.
Local candidates will be accepted at the same rate.
Hard stop requirements include specific surgical experience.
Candidate must be available to submit core items and complete necessary steps within a short timeframe to ensure an on-time start.
Candidates should be flexible regarding potential assignments and locations.
Two supervisory references are preferred for submission.
Travelers are expected to be available to work on major holidays as specified.
One holiday request can be reviewed for approval, depending on the number of holidays in the assignment period.
Mandatory pre-application fee for privileging candidates is required.
