Medical Laboratory Scientist - PRN

Role: Medical Laboratory Scientist responsible for performing, developing, and interpreting routine and specialized laboratory tests to support diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities: Prepare specimens, perform quality control, calibrate and maintain equipment, analyze test results, and ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain patient confidentiality, participate in performance improvement, and manage supply inventories. Adapt communication and procedures to diverse patient populations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field, current state license (if applicable), and generalist certification (ASCP, AMT, or AAB). No work experience required. Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in computer use, effective communication, analytical skills, good judgment, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to perform physical demands, including lifting and standing for prolonged periods, and work with potentially hazardous materials in a healthcare setting. Key Duties: Conduct accurate laboratory tests independently, troubleshoot instrumentation, follow safety and compliance standards, participate in performance improvement, and support operational efficiency.
