Part Time Custodian

Custodial Cleaner

Essential Functions:

• Maintains a clean and orderly environment

• Properly cleans and maintains areas as assigned

• Cleans tenant offices twice weekly, after 5pm

• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas

• Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to Facility Manager

• Frequently removes dust and debris from high and low surfaces

• Completes any daily paperwork required

• Assists with minor facility maintenance

• Sets up rooms for rental activities

• On-site for events; responsibilities during events include emptying trash, ensuring bathrooms are clean and stocked with paper products, and keeping hallways and entryways clean and clear of debris

• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment when using cleaning materials and equipment

• Typical duties include cleaning activities such as vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning with disinfectant, emptying trash cans, placing trash into dumpster, cleaning windows and window seals, light dusting, changing light bulbs and ceiling tiles, setting up tables and moving chairs

• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Previous custodial experience preferred but not required

• The ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb stairs as needed are required

• Must be able to pass a background check

• Primarily nights and weekends; schedule varies based on event calendar

• Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, up to 35 hours depending on events

Compensation Description: $16 per hour
